Adjust the discharge pressure to 3-4 bar. Open clean water supply to oil/water monitor. Open valve in downstream of oil monitor approximately half a turn. Verify that monitor reads 0ppm. If it does not clean the cell tube. When the monitor reads 0ppm activate function key ‘discharge Overboard’ ‘Yes’ STOPPING PROCEDURE- Stop seperation, press ‘program 0’. Close steam and condensate valve. Stop seperator press red button ‘seperator’. Stop feed pump, push rd button ‘feed pump’. Close sample valve’ (This starting and stopping procedure is from onboard manuals, wrote in 2003 by the Engineer in charge of the seperators at the time.)
